Our restaurant was opened in spring 2015, bringing one of the most historic buildings in Kinross back to life.
The old prison yard is now our garden and patio space and is a sunny and peaceful spot, protected by the original sandstone wall which once kept the resident scoundrels contained. Now we prefer to use it for al fresco dining!
Inside, the The Court House pizza oven is fired up daily using fuel from our very own local woodland. Our chefs freshly prepare all pizzas to order or to take away.
The Vault is now a cosy private dining area, available to hire for special events or private dinners.
Our restaurant staff make the Court House what it is.
The Court House training scheme helps local young people learn useful skills that will stay with them for life.
Watching them progress and grow in confidence is a privilege. Many of our staff leave us at the end of the summer to take up university places and we miss them all. Around this time, new staff come on board and you’ll spot them by their ‘License to Spill’ shirts, but don’t worry, that (almost) never happens!
We do everything we can to support and nurture their new skills, we hope that you will too.
We care about our community and take our role within it very seriously. Given that we are based in a small town. we are the first taste of the world of work for many of our young staff and we endeavour to instil expertise and skills that will benefit them as they move on in our organisation, to university, college or other careers. Whether in the restaurant business or not.
We champion progression and upskilling. With great opportunities up for grabs, why not work for us?
We’ll give you lifelong skills and experience and help you grow in confidence.
You’ll be empowered to give the best service you can to every customer and work in a place with a great atmosphere where you’ll be valued.
But don’t take our word for it, our happy staff say it all!
